Travis - 3 Miles High
Travis formed in Glasgow in 1990. Andy, Dougie, Neil and lead singer Fran Healy have twice been named best British band at the Brit Awards, have won 2 Ivor Novello Awards and were one of the headline acts at Glastonbury in year 2000. Their first studio album in 1997 was produced by Steve Lillywhite, famous for his production credits with U2 amongst others. Both ‘The Man Who’ and ‘The Invisible Band’ topped the charts, with ‘The Man Who’ being the best-selling album of 1999 selling 2.7m copies. Travis have had 11 top 20 singles including ‘Why Does It Always Rain On Me’, ‘Coming Around’ and their biggest hit ‘Sing’ reaching Number 3 in 2001. ‘3 Miles High’ is the first single from the band’s 8th album ‘Everything At Once’. They’ll played a 9-date UK tour starting on 6th May.
