Bassetlaw residents warned to check where their waste is going

Bassetlaw residents are being warned they could face fines up to £5,000 - if dumped rubbish is traced back to them.

The District Council says there is an increase in flytipping during the run up to Christmas - with over 270 cases in November and December last year.

Cabinet member for Neighbourhoods - Julie Leigh - says it is essential people check the details of anyone they pay to collect their waste.
