Concerns Over Doncaster's Universal Credit Roll Out

There are concerns people could be evicted from their homes for not paying rent and foodbanks will see more people than ever before - as Universal Credit comes into force in Doncaster.

It is being rolled out across the borough today and replaces some current benefits with a single monthly payment.

Mexborough's food bank manager, Sean Gibbons, is concerned - he reckons families will struggle to spread their cash and will reckons more people will rely on food parcels.
