Where did you grow up?
Although I was born in Peterborough, I have lived in Yorkshire since the age of two, so hope that makes me an honorary Yorkshireman! I spent most of my childhood in York, but love all of Yorkshire. It's definitely the finest part of the UK.
What's your single worst fear?
Small, furry creatures! As well as the obvious (rats), I am also quite scared of gerbils and guinea pigs. My friend's hamster once escaped from his cage whilst I was staying over, and I couldn't sleep all night!
What's the best gig you've ever been to?
Am I allowed three? Billy Ocean, jazz singer Gregory Porter, and Rick Astley all did it for me! I wish I could say the same for Matt Goss and Liberty X, which were almost certainly my worst.
What's the worst thing about you?
I have asked my wife to answer this one, and she has come up with two things. When I cut my toe nails after the house has just been vaccuumed ; and I am my own harshest critic.
What's your favourite movie?
I love The Wedding Singer, and could watch that again and again. I love the bit with Billy Idol on the plane. It's hilarious!
Describe how you looked in 1990....
A lot slimmer, but quite geeky, and a member of the school Railway Society! It was somewhere warm to go at lunchtime, and probably explains why I now love Michael Portillo's Railway Journeys shows on the telly.
Where is your favourite place in the world?
Gozo, a gorgeous little island off Malta, is lovely. Or in the bath with Mr Matey bubbles is always my happy place!
What are your must listen to artists?
Anything from Phil Collins and Spandau Ballet to old dance tunes from the 90s and cheesy Stock Aitken & Waterman. I will listen to anything though, and love discovering new music.
What food would you eat for a last supper?
Full Christmas dinner with all the trimmings.
What TV shows would you sit through the adverts to watch live?
The only one I've watched live recently is the Brit Awards ; I mainly watch films, to be honest, or stuff like Question Time and This Week, which don't have any ads!
