Anthony Edwards

Anthony's always wanted to work in radio and started his career, like so many others, in Hospital Radio. Indeed his voluntary broadcasts even received Royal Approval when he co-presented a show in front of His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh during a visit to Scunthorpe's Hospital Radio Station.

His desire to work for Lincs FM saw him lose over 50 nights sleep in the space of a year as he worked through the night on a Sunday presenting one show a week, then went to his full-time job in a call centre.

Now, Anthony has a little more balance to his working life. By day he's still answering phones, though now it's more likely to be to Lincs FM listeners in his role as Administration Manager.

On a Saturday he's behind the microphone, bringing you a full hour of New Music followed by the start of our weekend party show Saturday Night Party. You'll also hear him, occasionally, in the week when other presenters are on their hols.

When not working Anthony, who's originally from Messingham near Scunthorpe, enjoys holidaying himself (anywhere that's sunny and has a pool will do!) He also loves going to the cinema, shopping or watching live theatre - in his younger days he even trod the boards with the Scunthorpe Youth Theatre.

Ant, originally from Scunthorpe, now lives in the lovely village of Heckington.

Here's the video to accompany today's Topical Tune.  What song sums this up?
