Doncaster's passion and pride praised by departing Chief Exec

Before heading off to take on a new role in New Zealand, Doncaster Council's Chief Executive, Jo Miller, has praised the borough for it's passion and pride.

Jo Miller's been speaking to Trax FM, after announcing she is to step down, pack up and head half way across the world - to a new role in New Zealand.

Reflecting on her 7 years in the post, and her proudest moments, she said: "I can point to infrastructure, FARRS, White Rose Way, the Rail College and the £50million of investment that is happening around the town. But, I think what I'm really, really proud of is that spirit of being refused to be defined by things we don't have, and everyone working together to do the very best they can to make this place the best it can be."

Doncaster Council says plans for Jo’s successor are under consideration and will be announced in the near future.
